THE ART OF QUILLING
Quilling, or paper filigree, is an art form that fashions decorative designs from rolled strips of paper. This practice originated during the European Renaissance, when nuns and monks trimmed paper from the gilded edges of books and wound them on a "quill" to ornament manuscripts or other religious items.
